2. 5000 miles = 1 ton of CO2 , so 2-4 tons CO2 a year, plus maintainance
3. an electric car produces slightly less CO2 (windfarm electricity has to be shared with other users) but more in manufacture

so a new car produces, for each year

1. (46-90 tons of CO2 lifetime 20y)
2. 67+ trillionth degree increase in global temperature
3. 130+ tons of dead fish
4. 2300+ tons glacier melt
5. 4500sqm =1 acres flooding (1/2 football fields) (2022 flooding)
6. 450 square metres of forest fire (a tenth of a football field)
7. 45 picometre of sea level rise

 

How much electricity would it take to power all cars if they were electric? ..40% more, that is in the US 40% more that the total amount already used. But this does not include the CO2 in production or road maintainence.
